The GARVEE Aluminum raised planter box is sturdy and appealing. This planter has a base so that it's truly set off the ground, unlike most raised beds that just sit on the ground with an open bottom. This feature allows for so many options when deciding where I was going to place the planter and also the ability to move the planter to a new location without removing the plant mix and plants. I have it currently on a raised wood deck with in-season blooming flowers.The panels fit together to form a nice-looking textured appearance on the sides, and the 4 corner posts add design interest. This goes together differently than most raised planters, so it took me a few minutes with the directions to get it all worked out in my head.This is put together with metal screws instead of the usual nut and bolt construction. The benefit of the metal screws going directly into the corner posts is that it gives a much more streamlined, professional appearance with zero nuts and bolts showing. I had to use a cordless screwdriver as the screws are a difficult turn for me to do by hand as a senior lady. I built the planter on the porch and then carried it out to the deck. It's easy to carry when empty and doesn't weigh a lot.The planter has 2 drain holes in the bottom, and I just slid a plant saucer under the drain holes so that it wouldn't leak on the deck. Removing the plastic protection from the 4 corner pieces is probably the most time-consuming part of the assembly.

The 18-inch depth gives my herbs and flowers plenty of room to grow. Drainage works well after watering.
