Well built, worth the short money.
No problems with the box at all. I filled it with 9 bags of Quickrete (80 lbs each) and it became exactly what I needed it to be…. HEAVY!
It’s a metal box, and it does that well. I did have to adjust the top hook on my quick hitch, but that was an easy turn of the wrench and it fit just fine after that. FYI it can hold nine 60-lb bags of Quikrete, and if you have a Yanmar this red is a bit brighter than your tractor.
Wow, arrived quickly! Very sturdy, in fact I was surprised how heavy it was. First inspection shows it is good quality, especially for the price. Of course I got the red one to match my Massey.
This ballast box really improves my tractor’s stability. It shifts the weight to the back and makes it much easier to handle heavy loads.

How this is able to be made and shipped for free at the price offered is a puzzle. It works really well on an older Kubota 7510 with loader - making it safe and easy to pull logs with the bucket out of ditches with no tipping. I filled it 6 inches from the top with washed stone - and put the chains on top when not in use. The welds are fine. I wouldn't pull a load with the hitch receiver, but for another hauling point at rear it is fine. The hardware that came with is good quality, and the box prevented damage well. Keep it covered and the paint should last. Very pleased.
