Some Assembly required, but worth it!

Easy to assemble, all parts for assembly well packaged and accounted for, despite being broken into small parts and many fasteners it becomes quite rigid when completed so no worries if you did it right. I would not advise disassembling it ever though.-Does not include any chains or securing to the car, but you absolutely should add or fabricate and add some form of chain harness in case of pin failure and to tension the cargo carrier to the car(tension will reduce bouncy and noice greatly) A chain that exceeds the load rating of the carrier is not hard to acquire and setup.-Might want to add tie downs if you have the skill, but latching on rachet straps is fine as is.
