I absolutely love this type of straw mat for use as an outdoor rug and I already own many of them for use in different parts of my yard. At one time, we had two very hairy dogs that shed everywhere and this type of rug is the only kind that the dog hair didn’t immediately cling to and get embedded in. This type of rug also doesn’t absorb dirt and get stained like fabric type rugs can and is just so easy to clean. You can simply wipe it down, spray it with a hose, or give it a quick sweep and it’s as good as new. I ordered this one to use with a large, outdoor L-shaped sofa I currently have set up on the grass in my yard. It’s a very large sofa and we have two large deck boxes set up on each side of this and a table in the center of it and this very large rug fits just about end to end in the area, sectioning if off to create a more defined and cozy space. Since we also don’t have to worry about the grass underneath this rug now, my husband will no longer have to move the table to mow in front of the sofa and I won’t have to worry about insects or grass tickling or biting my ankles while I’m sitting on the sofa. I love the tropical look and pretty, but more neutral green color of this rug. It’s perfect for summer without being overly bright and bold. I was surprised to see that this also came with ground stakes and a nice zippered carrying bag. I have always just used this type of rug as an actual backyard rug that doesn’t get moved, but the carrying bag would be great if you wanted to bring this camping or to the beach. This would actually make a really fantastic beach mat and I just may consider packing it up the next time I’m going to the beach. This rug is very pretty, huge, durable, easy to clean and easy to transport and well worth the price.

This is a very nice lightweight versatile rug for many outdoor uses but not for all uses cases. I was initially going to put this under my patio table but quickly realized its not really designed for a long term placement like that. Unless you stake it to the ground, the rug will shift on you due to its light weight. In addition to the shifting, the creases from the folds don't seem to easily go away. I feel the rug is really designed for more temporary placement needs, such as for a picnic or the beach, and for that is does really well. It comes with a decent case to store it and some stakes to help hold it in place. Setup just takes a few minutes and it was easy to fold it back up for storage. The color/design patterns look really nice and go well with the outdoor feel. I did a small spill test on it and was able to easily wipe it off with a wet cloth. Another plus is its made completely with recycled materials.

This outdoor rug is the type that you can spray off with a hose. It is woven polypropylene which is a type of soft plastic. I like that it is so lightweight and comes with stakes and a carrying bag. I also really like the colors of the Black and Beige Leaf design that I chose. The colors really pop and look nice in person. I plan on using this with my 10x10 pop-up canopy that I bought a two-room tent to go around that screens in the canopy area. This is the perfect size since I will have an 8ft by 2ft folding table that I can place on the 2ft area the rug does not cover that I will cook on. The fact that it comes with stakes and a bag makes it perfect for camping along with the type of material it's made out of. I think it is priced reasonably and hopefully it will hold up over time and stay looking colorful. Id say it's a winner or I am for getting it!
