Things you need to have. I suggest getting a smaller diameter hammer drill bit to start pilot holes. One at a time is helpful to make sure everything lines up close enough to fit the bolts correctly. You will want to have a ratchet wrench and socket to put the bolts in. The supplied wrench is useless. Think about placement and who will be using this as well as how large the steps are. If you center on the steps you may not leave enough room on each side of it for an elderly person to use the steps and not have issues. The blue wrap is way to loose if put on correctly and will slip while you’re using it. If you wrap really tight there isn’t enough velcro and the edge sticks out all around and looks and feels terrible. Overall seems good so far. If you don’t have a hammer drill it is still possible with a 20v drill however it is time consuming and a challenge to drill through stone and concrete. It is important to make sure the holes are drilled straight down. When putting the anchors in you will likely need a hammer and gently tap them flush. They need ti be flush. I marked the supplied drill bit a little higher than the anchors and made sure to drill that depth. If they are not flush the railing wont seat correctly. Also when putting in the bolts tighten down but do not over tighten as you do not want to break a bolt. But it has to all be flush ti not wobble. This is a DIY project. But if you are th slightest of insure. Just pay someone a couple hundred to do it correctly. And this way you dont need to spend $140 on a hammer drill.

Good product.I like how far it reaches out over the steps and how solid it feels.The concrete bit that came with the hand rail has an odd part that does not especially line up with the normal chuck on a hammer drill. It was also not strong enough for old concrete.
