Let me explain something about the cleaning:Add a tiny bit of the citric acid (about 1tsp is all you need) to about 1cm worth of water, and swirl it around to mix it. I've also used CLR cleaner. Just a small splash is all it takes. Use a sponge to clean the sides and bottom. No scrubbing is needed. No green pads, and no backs of the sponge. Only the soft side of the sponge is needed. The acid cleaner does all the work. It takes less than a minute to clean this way.If you use this distiller properly, and clean it properly, it works perfectly and will last you a long time.

The enclosed "instructions" are confusing, inaccurate and misleading. With struggles and failures plus persistence and common sense, I believe I have finally figured out how to set up and properly operate this distiller. The silicone ring under the "jar" lid will not stay put inside the lid and flops down when I attempt to put on the lid. I still have not been able to find out how I'm supposed to correctly orient the triangle-shaped cap on the lid that goes under the spout of the distiller, but "somewhere close" seems to be adequate. After use, a simple spray of white vinegar into the stainless base will soften and loosen the grunge so that it can be easily wiped clean with a soft paper towel. Follow that, obviously, with a good rinse of clean water and you are ready to set up the next batch.

This has,so far, exceeded my expectations!

Very well made and functions perfectly. Also doubles as a heater. Whatever room you use this in becomes very warm upon use so my daughter has taken it over because she’s always cold

I love my countertop distiller so much. I can't believe I didn't know about them sooner. Easy to use, and you wouldn't believe how much stuff you will find left behind in our tap water. I swear that after a long day working at Garvee, I had been wondering where the unholy stench was coming from, I never smelled that bad in my life. The only thing that changed was my water. Same soaps, same food, same vitamins, but now I feel confident to leave my house without a daily shower if I needed to. That weird funk is gone. I am wondering how much the tap water, I was filtering, may have been having an effect on my health. The very first thing which had me hooked immediately... The taste ofy coffee. Coffee doesn't:t have to be bitter. You will be amazed at that, alone.

So far so good. I will add 3 year protection policy as these units do not last forever. I use distilled water for my neti pot so it keeps plastic out of the environment.

I knew there were impurities in the water, but had no idea how much. The distillation makes the water taste like a clean mountain stream and the junk left behind is astonishing to see.
