Geotextile is for major construction erosion control. You use this under concrete or pavement! It does allow drainage. You can use this on retainer walls and walk paths, but it is not its intended purpose. The purpose of this material is for heavy loads and high traffic. It is not a weed-stop.

Nice Stuff. I decided to take a chance on it anyway. Now after doing one project with it - it seems plenty sturdy to me. I'm glad that I went ahead and got it.
Amazing product for the price. Read that "it was tough to cut," box cutter cut it no problem. Got my 4 ft I ordered. Once I put stakes in, it did not slag. No regrets here
Works great and easy to install. Just make sure you get the right pins to ensure it stays in place. I used the 8 Gauge GZBEVITAR Landscape Fabric Pins for all my projects. The rounded top makes it easiest to hammer into the ground deeply without bending the pin. Overall, I've used it in 4 different gravel projects: french drains, 2 backyard walkways and our backyard patio area.The French drains were the first project and have been in for 2 years now, just heading into the 3rd PNW winter. It's held up well so far, hopefully it holds another year.

Heads up! This is slightly different than typical non woven geotextile fabric.I got the 6ft version of fabric in this listing and it was quality fabric like I'm use to buying.However, the 4ft is different, not in a bad way, just know this so you get it for intended purpose. This 4ft geotextile fabric looks woven on one side and non-woven on the other. I read deep into the description and it does list this far into the details, but I didn't notice it since I have not seen this before in the fabric I've bought in the past. It still works for the purpose I'm using it for, just be aware.It is intended for what they say, under walkway, pavers, etc.. This fabric does seem strong and the combo should make it last.Quality stuff, just make sure you want it for your use case. Cheers!

This is a fantastic value compared to the lumber yards. The material is high quality and lays down nice and flat. I bought landscape staples to hold the fabric down, which made a huge difference.
