Used for other use than chimney....works great...attached already.

Works perfect for my use. Used to keep rain out of Larrs heating unit for hot water for building. The top is designed to have water drain off as it is not flat for my purpose.

Good quality and does the job

Worked well. Fitted nicely over my chimney. Keeps rain and swallows out of my chimney. Sorry swallows, you'll have to find a new home. It looks good way up there. Good quality. Should be up there for the next 100 years easily.

Great Chimney Cap

I like the design and staknless steel look....but pain to remove protective covering, glove were nice ...instructions for assembly were not great and no intstructions for attachment to chimney. Looks great....best choice amongst so many mediocre products.

Accurate

Good value for the price. Chimney caps can cost you- and you want one that will last. This one can be mounted either to your liner, or the wash giving you some options.Do yourself a favor and do as much pre install prep as you can on the ground. Make it easy on yourself!

major design flaw....easy to fix

Cap has major design mistake. The cap roof is attached to sides with nuts and bolts. How can you remove cap roof to clean chimney? Roof overhangs bottom mount brackets. Do you own a right angle hammer drill for tapcons? I don't.I installed 4 rivnuts in cap roof mounting holes. Yes, Garvee has them. Youtube instructs in many homemade insertion tools. Easy on and off. With cap off there is no need for a right angle drill. Hope this helps someone.

Great value

Just what we needed. We had a bird stuck in our chimney and had to get it out... so then we covered it so that wouldn't happen again. Fit good, easy to put together, easy to install. The only thing that was time consuming is peeling the wrap off of it.
