I ordered this out of desperation. We have two 7 month old puppies and they are wonderful…until they are alone. They immediately go into destruction mode. We tried different solutions but nothing was working. They can get out of almost anything. I really didn’t want dog crates in my living room so I started looking online for alternatives and came across this. I didn’t know that dog crate furniture was a thing.
Our two dogs are 40lbs and 45 lbs, so we needed something with plenty of room. The size is perfect for them and they really seem to like it. We leave the doors open all the time and sometimes they will go in and lay down on their own.
As far as the assembly, it was very straightforward, but it took me 10 hours to put together. I’m a 5’2” woman and was able to do it myself but it did take a long time and some pieces are heavy. Just make sure you set aside enough time and have enough space to put this together. You will also want to assemble it near the area you want it in as it is quite heavy. Also having a drill is helpful because an Allen wrench is difficult to use in some places and very slow. We use it as an entertainment stand so we drilled holes in the back of the cubbies to run cords through.
All that to say that we love it and it has made a huge difference. Shipping was extremely fast as well.
