Really works well! I got this to help with loading large sections of logs into my pickup and trailer. Even without having a trailer hitch it was fine. I just secured the bar that should have gone into the trailer hitch to the neck of my trailer with a tie-down strap.Adding a manual winch to the houst made it even more versatile and more productive. I'd set the height I needed with the pneumatic pump, then winch the logs over to the loading area, up into the air, then down into the truck, or trailer.Even my wife, who barely weighs 100 lbs. soaking wet, 6th rwas able to successfully move 3-400 lbs. log sections with ease!

Exactly as described. We bought it for lifting Nilgai into the truck, but bf uses it for everything now! Water heaters, toilets (he’s a plumber), big, loaded down ice chests, generator - anything you can rig up to the lift hook! We went with the bigger crane so we didn’t have to worry about weight limit. And we added grease to the pivot pin/point to help it spin easier. The biggest piece weighs maybe 40-50#, I’m a 40ish yo female and can put all the pieces in the bed of the truck.

It will work. Be cautious loading on unlevel places. Stabilizers are adequate for lighter loads. I added a jack for extra stability.
Get's the job done when you need to lift something heavy into your bed. Packaging was poor as to be expected at this price point. Finish was in surprisingly good shape for how poor the packaging was.One star off for the included hardware being exclusively pins with cotter pins. Some of those pins need to be removable for set up and take down and a cotter pin is a poor choice for this use. After replacing certain cotter pins with hitch pin clips (https://www.garvee.com/Alloygold-Stainless-Retaining-Assortment-Retainer/dp/B0C99D3W89/ref=sr_1_9) and other pins with self locking pins (https://www.garvee.com/dp/B0CFBWR1T4/) I'm very happy with the performance of this crane.
