Don't spend too much on this

I spent $80 on this, it isn't worth more than that.It's just a fan, a water pump, and pads in a plastic housing. Does the cooling thing though, so there's that. Seems sturdy enough.

Living in a dry hot climate and this swamp cooler was a great purchase. My area is dry hot, and this evaporative air cooler really helps by cooling the air and adding humidity. We use this swamp cooler both in our bedroom at night and in the living room during the day. It has wheels on the bottom with brakes so it is sometimes moved to the patio for use. The cooling performance is excellent, and it really helps with that dry, uncomfortable summer air. This swamp cooler with the powerful 3000 CFM airflow and 4 ice packs, I always feel cool and comfortable all day. The remote is convenient, and I love being able to adjust the speed, time and direction without getting up. My family feels so much cooler and more relaxed now—would definitely buy again!
