I got the 12000 btu New Refrigerant (R32) 18.5 SEER Mini Split at an unbelievable price I couldn't pass up. I've done all sorts of DIY projects but this one was hardest of all and it actually took me a month. This is not specific to this unit but true of any Mini Split unless it comes with the pre-vacuumed lines. Every part of this install is challenging - new breakers, 240v wires snaking through your garage and outside walls, cutting holes in your wall, mounting the exterior bracket, flaring tubing, and worst of all is the vacuuming. I'm a perfectionist and insisted on using a micron gauge to ensure my vacuum was holding and you really can't know how good your install is unless you both do a nitrogen pressure test (the only way to actually FIND a leak) and a micron gauge vacuum but the instructions don't require either. EPA wants you to hold a vacuum under 500 microns without it going above for at least 15 min and that is a big challenge as you need expensive micron gauge, 2 vacuum rated valve core removal tools - about $300 of tools not even including the vacuum pump which you can rent for free from Autozone. Literally the tools cost more than the unit. My vacuum kept leaking off until I upgraded to expensive vacuum rated core removal tools that cost $60 each, better hoses, no shutoffs. The key to holding a good vacuum is to repeatedly pull the vacuum and hold it - each time it holds better until it doesn't go up at all and you know you've boiled off all the moisture and contaminants. Even better if you do a nitrogen flush between. You might really be better off just using the manifold gauges and hoping for the best but you could also have a leak or leave too much moisture and contaminants in your system which causes performance issues. The brand with pre-vacuum'ed lines would simplify the hardest part but it also costs double. But the install is beautiful and it heats +31F with 1000W of power and cools -22F with 200-300W. Surprisingly it only uses 16W all night long to just circulate air. It does have louvers to direct the air but it doesn't it blow as high up as I'd like and doesn't move very far left/right. It does have Wifi but it won't work with a 5GHz system even if your fancy router has both - I had to install an old 2.4GHz router just to make it work. But the Wifi control is really limited - it can't turn it on/off on a schedule and just is an alternative remote control. Customer support is actually quite good with a 24hr delay by email but they helped me several times. This 18.5 SEER isn't Energy Star so you can't get a tax credit.

Unit ships in to two shipments. However, one shipment is incorrect. Customer service insists it’s the correct shipment. I haven’t been able to have this resolved. Attached if the wrong model. I WOULD STAY AWAY

Just finished installing the 9k BTU 220V unit. Quiet and great for the price. I would recommend and purchase again.

Rovsun, Della… GARVEE…Just look at the case and the remote..Same unit different stickers..What impressed me was the SEER rating, 23! Not bad!Easy install (2nd time around) make sure you pressure test before vacuumingWorks great! WiFi app is a nice touch!

Came in on time and quickly. Box was in excellent condition when it arrived and the unit was installed without issue. So far no complaints and will have to use it longer to get a real feel for the units capabilities and shortcomings

Have not installed yet but product shipped in two packages! It had everything needed to install the unit! Looks nice ! So far so good!

There was no template with the unit to tell you where the hole is for the hoses

Set up was a little complicated but it is working great for a 400sq/ft bedroom.

Two car garage workshop in Florida. Cost less to run than the 8000 BTU it replaced!
