Requires an adapter to run on American 220v.Called a "welder to heater" or "6-50p to 6-30r" adapter.Quickly heated a 1,000sqft shop with 20' ceilings, with additional floor-to-ceiling mixing fan. Metal housing is only warm to touch. Runs quietly. Substantial construction. 220v is inexpensive and adds no moisture, compared to liquid fuel heaters. Saved me thousands on a natural gas permanent installation at a rental unit.Simple 1960's tech that works.
The product works very well. I have it in my 12'x10' work space with outside temperature at 32 degrees. It's not a huge space but, warms up fast and I work in a T-shirt.

This has excellent heat output, but just be aware that the connectivity requires an industrial power source. You can't just plug this into your regular home outlet. This is what enables it to be so powerful. It filled an entire workspace shop area with heat very quickly, but it also draws a fair amount of power. I thought the noise level was acceptable for the power provided. It also looks handsome and the red lacquer paint is professional. For the size this is a terrific heater, just make sure that you have the correct power output to actually plug this in ... best for work applications, not a home garage heater.

This heater produces plenty of heat, but it is very important to understand that you cannot plug this into a standard residential outlet.It requires 240V (like a dryer does), so unless you already have this available to you (for example, in a garage or workroom where you have wired it for 240V), it is not suitable for most residential use.
