The melting furnace works great. There are some preps that need to be done prior to the first burn, once it is done, the furnace works great and due to its compact design, the crucible and internal temperature increases very fast. This is a great unit if you are just starting and if this is your first time trying to get into melting metal.
I used this to melt 1062 cans (so far) and got 19 pounds of pure aluminum. Very easy to use and was a lot of fun.
I’ve never done metal melting before, but this kit made it super approachable. The instructions were clear and I felt safe using it right away.
For the price, I feel it was a good investment. I ran 7 trash bags full of aluminum cans worth through it.
