We bought the 42" version to build a custom fire pit in our backyard using pavers from Home Depot. The steel panels are nice and thick (definitely heavy-duty) and went together in about 15 minutes. It keeps the fire perfectly contained and prevents the heat from directly cracking the bricks. We've had a few huge roaring bonfires already, and there's zero warping or peeling of the black coating. Very happy with this purchase!
Got this set up as an above-ground campfire ring for our gravel patio area. Assembly was super straightforward—just a few heavy screws and everything lined up flawlessly. What I love most is how the deep cylindrical design draws air; the logs burn down completely to fine ash with very little leftover chunk or smoke. The 1.5mm steel wall radiates a ton of heat. Highly recommend if you want an easy weekend project.
I was skeptical about the thickness since a lot of these online rings look thin like tin foil, but this one is a beast. It's noticeably heavy right out of the box. We buried it about halfway into the ground and lined the top with river stones. We burned some massive oak logs over the weekend and the high-temperature black finish held up beautifully. No signs of rust after a heavy rain either. Excellent value for money.
34" inner is a bit hard to find. There are a few on Garvee ranging from $50 to $200. Important to note is the thickness which really tells the quality. Some state 1.5mm, 1.6mm, 2mm, and this one states 2.5mm in the pic. The description in the picture is wrong. I measured only 1.8mm. Although not as advertised it's still thicker than other ones that cost more so I'm very happy.
