Garvee 4400LBS Engine Hoist, Folding Hydraulic Hoists Cherry Picker, Heavy Duty Engine Crane Lifter, Orange

This was my third purchase of a two ton engine hoist, three different resellers. The first and second were lost in shipping. This third hoist had many deep scratches and a few dents, one low on the cylinder. The hoist functions fine. Overall, the packaging was poor but product functions well. UPS went way above their contract. The driver delivered the hoist to my barn and left me a note on my door telling me where he placed it.

Great price for a shop crane. They need to work on the instructions. I put it together by the instructions and they have 2 longer bolts going to hold the boom but it needs to be the shorter ones because the shorter ones will not get a good bite though the legs to frame. They didn't debur the holes that well so had to take a round file to clean the holes to get the bolts through. It showed up a little rough but that's not the companies fault but hey it's a shop crane. Mine had to travel the nation to get here, I live in Louisiana it came from California, went to Tennessee then Georgia and back to here. Glad the company puts the box in a woven bag because the box was in pieces by the time it got here. If it hadn't been for the bag I'm sure if it showed up it would have been missing the small parts and maybe even a castor or few. It went together fairly easy. The support bars are not fitting up right but I am either going to redrill the flat stock or bend them to fit or move them to the outside of the frame. I don't know yet, that's on today's list of things. Picture of the crane shows them on the outside of the frame, instructions show them on the inside. I like the foldability to save space in the shop. Love that they have grade 8 bolts but the steel tube won't allow it to torque it starts to bend, so all the structural bolts I'm going to go back through and add locking washers and then hand tighten them. For all you none mechanics hand tight runs about 50ish ftlb plus or minus.

Just pulled a 5.3 chevy engine with this and it worked well, I had it extended all the way out and didnt experience any tilt or wobble. The bad, shipping was delayed 2 days bu ups and box was extremely damaged causing the hoist paint to get scratched up but I dont care it's a shop tool it's not going to stay perfect.
