My old cable broke, so I bought this one. It’s a bit thinner than the original but still compatible with my machine and of good quality. However, a thicker cable would be better for use.

My wife and I have quite a few rent houses....which is good. The bad news is that we've had to learn some plumbing and other handy skills to avoid going broke. I got too big for my britches a couple of years ago and bought a commercial Electric Eel drain cleaner. It quickly proved to have me outmatched. I just couldn't control it.This 23 pound drain snake is very heavy duty. We had a rent house with what we suspected was way too much toilet paper in the sewage pipe....teenage girls. I was able to direct this one from the outside cleanout and pull out wads of toilet paper, absolutely gross, but problem solved. I wasn't about to try and snap pictures in that environment, but I'm happy with this snake.

After spending several hundred dollars last year on a very simple clogged pipe, I picked this up to attempt my own clean up before calling a plumber. I’m really happy about the ability to use this in multiple ways, such as cleaning out my dryer vent. That stuff cakes up in there and affects the productivity of your dryer, so having this available is great.

Many years ago I ran the drain snake in reverse and kinked the spiral cable exterior leading the machine not to feed the kink through the power feed reducing my 50' cable down to 15' or so. Had an unfortunate septic backup and the 15' didn't reach the clog so it was time to figure out how to fix the machine. This cable worked perfect and the job was much easier than I thought it would be. The machine has a 1 foot pigtail with a screw mating that attaches directly to this replacement cable. It was confusing how to get the cable out of the metal enclosure it's wrapped in, but once I realized you just sneak the one end out of the enclosure, the cable unravels right out. The 50' replacement reached the clog using the full length and everything was golden and the machine is now totally refurbished. The extra gloves and cutters were also super helpful since I had lost the extra tips along the way. Took a down and out $400+ machine and made it working as if brand new again for less than a tenth of the cost. Very happy with the product.

I haven't had the opportunity to use this yet thank goodness but it looks like something a professional would use! It's super sturdy and well made. This auger is heavy too! I love how it has different tips to put on there for different needs. It was a pretty good value and great to have on hand for emergencies!

I got this to extend the reach of our 50' Harbor Freight snake. It now reaches from the back cleanout to the front one in a single run.
