No lie.

So thins thing is pretty big for the regular person, but it’s what you need. It requires 12 pounds of tallow to fill, so you’ll need 2 buckets. For the first try I heated it up and dumped a whole bag of fries to give it a try. It worked perfectly, never lost temp and the fries were crispy.

Big capacity without taking too much space

I was worried about the size but the 28*42cm footprint fits my small kitchen corner nicely. Still holds 8L oil. Perfect balance of space and capacity.

Sturdy stainless build

No cheap metal here. The stainless steel body feels heavy duty and stable on my counter. Doesn’t wobble at all. I can tell this will last for years.

Simple and it works

Works well. Used it side by side with my new Hamilton Beach unit. After only 3 batches of fish, my HB had an unrecoverable failure (now in the trash), while the GARVEE cranked out batch after batch. After several uses, I've fallen in love with it, although the structure is not super robust. There are sharp edges, but with careful handling it's very manageable. Light weight. Cleans well. Simple design. No timer limitations or power cables that easily disconnect, nor 7 pages of warnings in the manual. Fill with oil, plug it in, set your temp and go. With 2 gallons of oil, it takes about 40 minutes to reach a 365° target temp.
