This item is an electric heater rated at 1500 watts output. It uses PTC (positive temperature coefficient) heating elements. As with all PTC heaters, it will surge above its rated output when first turned on. As it gets hot, the current use will fall towards its rating. I measured the surge when turned on to high as 1600 watts. That settled down to 1330 (11.82 amps) after about 30 seconds. Thus this device operates below its rating of 1500. I actually prefer that since both its surge and the run watts at high are below a typical circuit breaker's trip point of 15 amps. The measured watts at the lower setting were 737 (6.4 amps) which is close to its lower rating of 750. When just the fan is on, the heater used 18.2 watts (0.208 amps). I noticed the fan is a bit loud and the plastic housing is not as heavy duty as I prefer. I also note that the heater appears to use a red/orange neon bulb to indicate it is on. I was concerned that that might cause interference on an FM radio, but I placed it a few feet away from a radio set to a strong signal and did not hear any interference. This heater has a tip-over switch on its bottom to ensure it shuts off when not vertical. I also noted that it takes many minutes to cycle off and on when the rotatable temperature control is at a set point. I do wish that were tighter in regulation, but it worked. This heater seems to operate acceptably for room heating.

GARVEE Greenhouse Heater - Handle Indoor Portable Electric HeatersI purchased this on December 20th, 2025 and received it January 22nd 2025, I knew it would take a month to get it and I'm okay with that. It claimed it could heat up a 200 sq ft room. I have two rooms, one 100 sq ft and the other 180 sq ft, both rooms are about 65°f. I turned heat up on high and the fan on high. First I tested the larger room, the heater ran for half an hour, it definitely took the chill out of this room, but it did not warm it up so that I would want to remove my heavy sweater. The smaller room, warmed up much quicker. I would definitely use this in my smaller room, because it heated the area up much quicker. I am not disappointed in ordering this. It would definitely work in a personal area, but I wouldn't expect it to heat up the whole room. The tip over safety switch works, even if you just pick it up it shuts the heater off. No the fan only option has been mentioned in other reviews, and I agree that you shouldn't have to select a temperature for it to run. A fan should just be a fan. But look how happy it is!

The GARVEE Greehouse Heater works alright. The heat output is okay. On high it gets pretty warm but not super hot. It has a good fan that helps to move the heat. I really like the size because these can tuck in anywhere and the handle makes it easy to carry. The controls on the top are a little stiff to turn on and the entire dial moves with a small notch to indicate where the selection is made. It has a safety tip feature button on the bottom so if it gets knocked over it will automatically shut off. It says is is 2 speed and it has a high and low and it also has a fan feature as well with no heat.It has a nice white noise sound, enough that you will remember to turn it off when you walk away, but not so loud that it's a problem. I am a space heater addict and give this one a 4 out of 5 stars because it is just over warm.

This space heater provides a ton of warmth in a very nice looking and compact package. I really appreciate the handle that is built into this heater. Sometimes I have to move a space heater to another location while it’s still warm, so it can be uncomfortable or dangerous, but the integrated handle that is positioned above and towards the back of the unit works really well for lifting the unit and relocating it. I like the silver color and the sleek design of it. The space heater outputs a lot of warmth, with two different heat levels and a thermostat feature. I also really like that there is even a fan only mode, as many space heaters don’t include such a feature. This makes it useful year round.While this space heater is already less likely to tip over compared to taller ones and tower heaters because of its short and squat form factor, I really like seeing the little anti-tip mechanism integrated into the bottom of the heater because it gives me confidence that it will shut off if the space heater were over to be knocked over. With other space heaters, anti-tip mechanisms are advertised but it isn’t as clear how they work and if they’ll successfully work if needed.
