Sturdy and Useful Portable Ramp With Minor Quality Issues

At the time of writing this review, this 2 foot portable wheelchair ramp is listed for $80. Overall, I think the quality is good, but there is some room for improvement. In terms of strength, this ramp feels very sturdy. It easily handled my weight without any noticeable flex, and I weigh around 220 pounds.I purchased it to help move heavy items in and out of my shed, mainly my smoker. The last time I tried doing that without a ramp, I ended up aggravating some back soreness, so this should make things much easier and safer. The aluminum feels thick and durable, and the hinges seem solid. It also has a built in handle, which makes it easy to carry and reposition. There were a few quality control issues, though. Mine did not include the edge warning stickers mentioned in the instruction manual, which are supposed to help prevent tripping. In addition, one of the rubber grip pads on the overhang section was installed sloppily. I also noticed that some of the welds look a bit rough. They will likely hold fine, but the finishing does feel a little rushed. The ramp folds neatly down the middle, and it includes locking pins that keep the unit securely closed when it is folded for storage or transport. The box also includes a pair of gloves. I am not sure if they are meant to protect your hands from sharp edges or simply to keep things clean, since the instructions do not explain their purpose. It is a nice gesture, but a little confusing.Overall, despite a few minor flaws, this is a solid and useful ramp, and I do recommend it.

Convenient and works well.

This portable ramp feels really sturdy and heavy duty. It's made of aluminum and seems to be pretty durable. The inside surface has anti-slip tape which is really helpful for the wheels to grip. Both of the sides also have caution tape. The whole thing folds in half and has a carrying handle which is really convenient to take in the car or to store when not in use. The underside has a rubbery grip tape on one end to help steady the ramp on whatever surface you're leaning it on. This is a short ramp so it isn't intended to use for loading vehicles but fits perfectly on the curb of a sidewalk or similar heights. When opened, the width is wide enough for our wheelchair and walker. The ramp seems to hold up well and function as it should with the weight of both the walker and wheelchair and a person over 200 lbs. It's really easy to use. The only effort needed is to carry it and open it up then fold it when you're done. So easy! My only suggestion would be to maybe make the lip that sits on the curb a little longer for a little more stability and peace of mind.Other than that, this a good product to have if you have a disabled loved one. I think it's a good value and worth it.

Great compact ramp for scooter

The ramp worked great for getting my scooter and ramp into the back of our Palisade SUV and still have the second row seats up.

Needs more support in the middle

Good quality good price fast delivery. Just wished the center hinge was bigger. 2 people and wheel chair on steep incline is a little concerning. Welding a larger bracket on would be good suggestion.
