Once installed, these handrails are pretty to look at and sturdy. Be aware there are a lot of connection points, nuts and bolts. However, not difficult to put together; but the instructions were just a picture, no words. Might require two people.
I should say easy and quick to install, but also very sturdy to use, good product.
The sidewalk to my house is 2 steps up from the public walkway. Having a handrail makes it more secure, especially with shopping bags. This rail is shorter than many currently available. I can reach the hand rail comfortably, w/o needing to grab the upright rails as the taller handrails require. The foot, or base, of the structure fits comfortably on the 2 step rise to my house. Very happy with how it meets my needs.
