This low-profile oil drain pan is made extremely well. I had this assembled in about fifteen minutes. The casters roll smoothly. The electric pump is mounted to the front for easy access. It holds quite a bit of fluids without splashing.
This is a well-designed, nice-quality oil catch and pump. My requirements were that it hold at least three gallons of oil and it be large enough to catch oil from both an oil pan and from an oil filter being unthreaded from the same vehicle. It needed to have a pump to I don't have to lift it and dump it into a barrel.This meets all of my requirements and has additional features. I like the large wheels that allow me to wheel this under a vehicle. The height is under nine inches so it easily fits under a pickup or a car if it is driven up on front ramps. The pump worked well to transfer oil up and into a 55 gallon drum.Assembly was fairly straight forward. Instructions are clear and it wouldn't take but a few minutes to figure out what goes where. There is even thread tape included for assembling the pump. The pump is oiled so be careful when removing the plugs if you don't want to drip oil on the floor. This kit offers nice value at less than $170. The steel is strong. The grate is a bit thin but it works well.
This pump makes a messy job so much easier. It came ready to use and assembly was a breeze—I barely glanced at the instructions. The splash guard is a brilliant feature that really contains the mess. It's so much faster and cleaner than my old method. The fact that it also works in reverse to suck fluids out is just a fantastic bonus. Highly recommended for any home mechanic!
Works good, but only time will tell! Cleaner way to pump used oil back into original containers for sure! Does have a little splatter when catching oil, but I think they all do!I would buy again
