This GARVEE 6 liter ultrasonic cleaner is just about the perfect sized cleaner for anyone wanting to clean anything from fine jewelry to small auto parts. This ultrasonic cleaner uses special sound frequencies to shake the water on a microscopic levels which causes grease and debris to literally melt off just about any item you put in there. It also has a heating function to heat the water up to 176 degrees for even tougher debris and grease.To test, I used this cleaner to clean three of my wife's rings plus two pairs of diamond earrings. Before receiving this cleaner, I found some really good cleaning tips online. Instead of filling the entire unit with a special cleaner, many suggested filling it up with just water. Then put your items you want to clean in a ziplock bag with the cleaner, squeeze all the air out and set that in the water. This is a great way to help save money on a large amount of cleaning solution. You can also set a mason jar in the water on the included rack and fill that with enough cleaner to cover your items. The bag seemed to work really good for me and less mess!The starting temp was 73 degrees and to reach my set point of 150 degree took about 50 minutes. So it does take a while to heat up. Once the water was ready, I put her rings into a bag of really hot tap water. She didn't have actual ring cleaner available, but I read online that just using water and a couple drop of Dawn dish soap works just as good. I ran the cleaning cycle for ten minutes and then ran it again for another 7 minutes. Once done, I opened the bag an poured the liquid and jewelry in a white bowl so I could see the debris it removed. To my surprise, there was quite a few small specs of debris it shook loose from under the diamonds!After I pulled the jewelry out, I decided to try something else I saw online. I used my espresso machines milk steamer/frother to blow hot steam around the smaller diamonds. Between the ultrasonic cleaner and the streamer, the rings and earrings came out almost like new. I inspected the back side of the diamonds with a magnifying glass and there was no remaining dirt particles what so ever!Overall, I'm extremely impressed with this cleaner. It's definitely not small, but it isn't oversize either. I'm really happy I ordered the 6 liter unit. It should handle just about everything I'll ever need to clean. Based on the build quality, the heating option, various sonic cleaning options, and the price point, I consider this cleaner an extremely good deal and would definitely recommend to anyone that has small parts or jewelry cleaning projects!

I ordered the 6L size because it’s a good size for cleaning various small things like engine carburetors or various jewelry. It can clean stuff like a full slide or a bolt carrier group. It is very versatile in what you can clean.The construction of this ultrasonic cleaner is mainly stainless steel. So it’s very corrosion resistant. You can use anything from a very acidic cleaner to a very caustic cleaner. For most of us, some dish soap and water is good enough unless you have something specific you need to clean. But the stainless steel construction will handle it.The 6L measures a little over 12” in length, 6.5” in width and 11” in height. The internals are Aprox 11” in length, 5.5” in width and 6” in height. there is a min and max line in the tub. The min line indicates 6L in volume. Do not exceed the max fill line because when you place objects in, it has the potential of overflowing. It comes with an internal basket to allow you to retrieve your contents.The solution can be heated up to 175F and the heater draws roughly 300w. The ultrasonic feature draws roughly 200-250w. That means this 6L unit can draw around 500-550w total.The ultrasonic has two modes. A pulsing mode and a gentle mode. The pulsing mode will pulse the ultrasonic at max power for a few seconds and then switch it off. It will continue this for however long you set the timer. The gentle function will keep the ultrasonic on, but it seems like it’s only at 50–60% power. Both have their uses and I really like the fact it gives you this function.The ultrasonic sound isn’t very loud, but it is very noticeable and audible. I wouldn’t run it if there are people sleeping unless you leave it in the garage or a separate room.Overall, this is a well built ultrasonic cleaner. It has a lot of features and feels very durable. Overall, I do recommend this unit and the 6L is perfect size for me.

Just took this bad boy out of the box, filled it with water, and that's it for setup. Digital controls are straightforward. The timer and temperature dials are all easy to use.I've been using this mainly for cleaning jewelry and watch parts by putting them into the stainless steel basket and then running cycles using a fairly warm heat setting. The machine runs quite quietly and has a good seal on the lid to keep any possible splash contained. Cleaning the pieces turned out really well because the oxidation came off the surface with no signs of damage to the jewel, and the small size of the components was actually cleaned thoroughly inside the small areas.As for the heating element, it actually heated the water up at a slow rate rather than heating all at once, so I would expect that to happen with all other cleaning items. One thing I would recommend is that if you pack the basket densely, the cleaning of the items suffers due to the lack of vibration available for the items being cleaned. The machine operates steadily without shaking around, which makes it very usable sitting on a shelf in the workshop. Overall, it's held up well with no issues so far.
