Garvee 8.5 inch 2000W Table Saw, 5000RPM Electric Cutting Machine

I have been using the saw for a week and I am very satisfied with its performance. This product has been designed for use by advanced users. The work plate, manufactured from cast aluminium, offers enhanced strength and durability in comparison to sheet metal. The side guide, while open to enhancement, is straightforward to adjust and enables precise square cuts.

I am pleasantly please with my purchase. I previously owned a large, cast iron, 10 inch Craftsman table. So I was really spoiled on size, capacity, stability, and precision. (Had to sell all my equipment diur to financial crisis)That being said... I read some reviews on these small 8-1/4 inch table saws. Many of them are all the same with only the name badge on them being different. Some claimed plastic table tops that tend to warp, some claim lack of power, some claim lack of accuracy.One note: one question being asked on this particular product is "Dies it come with a dust bag". The answer to that is YES, it dies come with a dust collection bag. My previous table saw did not have onboard dust collection, so I was really questioning how well that would actually work.So, here's the scoop:I am really impressed with this unit for the price. The table is actually powder-coated cast aliminum. It is very slick and the wood slides accross it very smoothly. The paralell fence self-aligns well. I just put it in place and locked it, then maesured both ends of the fence to the miter slot. It aligned within less than 1/2 mm distance measured from end to end.The miter guage....Well, it is a bit cheesy, made from plastic with an aluminum t-slot guide. It fits well in the groove with virtually no side-ti side deflection, yet it slides through the slot very smoothly. It came with 2 different miter gauge fences, one about twice the length of the other. The angle indicator pointer was way off from the factory. However, that was easilly fixed using a precision alignment tool (also found here on Garvee) and adjusting the pointer on the miter gauge.I also checked the accuracy of the blade tilt with the precision alignment tool. I found the hard stops at 45 deg. And 90 deg. To be right on the money straight out of the box.I made my first cut by cross-cutting a 2X4. Then I used a try-square to check the cut for being square and it was perfect. (This was after setting the miter gauge to the blade with the precision tool.) I pushed the wood fairly quickly and the motor didn't seem to slow at all. The thin kerf, carbide tipped blade went through it like hot butter.Then I made two cuts on a fairly large piece of 3/4 in. Plywood. Again, the motor didn't seem to know it was even there. So, it has lots of power for my needs.After all that, I only had a few specs of sawdust on the tabletop. Very little cleanup needed at all! I am really surprized how well it did. I just used a little dust-buster vac to spot clean the tiny amount the dust collection system missed. Again, the cuts came out perfectly square, making assembly of my wooden parts a snap, without having to waste time trying to get things to fit squarely.With all that said, I'm not rel impressed with the throat plate and ability to use a dado blade. The throat plate is GREAT for just a straight blade like the one that comes with the machine. However, I'm going to have to figure out how to get this thing to work with a dado due to the way the dust collection system fits around the blade. The existing throat plate will not be compatible with a dado either. So I may have to make modifications for that... Some research is going to be required on my part on that.Overall, I am well pleased so far. I may do a follow-up if I find a solution for the dado situation.

Love how this saw balances power and precision. The cuts are smooth, and the blade stays sharp even after heavy use. The dust management system saves so much cleanup time, perfect for my apartment workshop.

I’ve had this saw for two weeks now, love everything. The saw is compact and lightweight, making it easy to transport and store, yet it is still powerful enough to handle beginner jobs. I also put the left table extension on which was really easy and fits quite well, you just have to turn the rod holder brackets opposite what the instructions show and it works like a charm.
