The construction feels strong and durable, and it has plenty of room for storing larger tools, accessories, and supplies. The box opens and closes smoothly, and the overall design feels like it is made to handle regular use and outdoor conditions.The gas struts are certainly a great addition to keep the lid open while retrieving your tools or other parts. It's also nice that the latch fits into a recess area where you can then install your padlock for security. This helps keep the lock protected, and provides a more secure method of lid latching.While this could be used in a truck bed, it is worth noting that it does not come with a built-in mounting system for securing it directly to the truck. If you want a permanent truck bed installation, you will need to plan on drilling and adding your own mounting hardware. Because of this, I think it is especially well suited for contractors, DIY projects, garages, or job sites where you need a tough storage box that can take some abuse.Overall, this is a very well-made tool box with a lot of storage capacity and the durability needed for demanding environments. It is a great value for anyone needing secure, heavy-duty storage.

I ordered the black version of this toolbox to store and transport my larger cordless power tools, and it has been an excellent addition to my mobile workshop setup. The storage capacity is impressive for a 24-inch toolbox. I can fit my circular saw, reciprocating saw, jigsaw, nail guns, planer, sanders, portable band saw, multiple drills and impact drivers, plus several batteries and chargers with room to spare.When fully loaded, the toolbox is certainly heavy, but it is still manageable for me to carry by myself. The side carry handles are well-designed and make moving the box much easier than I expected. I also really like the folding front handle on the lid. It's a thoughtful feature that folds flat and stays out of the way when not in use.The overall build quality is better than I anticipated for the price. The hinge operates smoothly and feels very sturdy. The steel construction is genuinely heavy-duty, and the box is strong enough that I can comfortably use it as a temporary bench while working. I was also impressed by the quality of the welds and the finish. The powder coating is uniform, looks professional, and appears durable enough to stand up to regular jobsite use.One feature that really stands out is the rubber seal around the lid. The seal is well-made and does an excellent job of keeping the interior dry. Protecting expensive cordless tools and batteries from moisture is important to me, and this toolbox has performed very well in that regard.I also appreciate that the toolbox can be secured with a padlock of my choice rather than being limited to a built-in lock. My only real complaint is that there is no latch to keep the lid positively closed when a padlock is not installed. Adding a simple latch mechanism would make the design even better for day-to-day use.Overall, this toolbox offers excellent storage capacity, solid construction, effective weather protection, and thoughtful design features at a very reasonable price. I am very happy with the value that this toolbox offers and would not hesitate to order it again.

This GARVEE Heavy Duty Truck Bed Tool Box 24'' has plenty of room inside and it's strong enough that I can sit on top of it. I like the gas struts, they opened softly and closed nice. I used waterproof heavy duty Velcro and attached this to my plastic truck bed liner. This toolbox has handles on the side so it's very easy to move if I need to. The powder coating is very well done In this truck bed toolbox is well made and a very good deal.

I haul massive amounts of expensive power tools and design gear in my pickup, so I got this 24-inch locking steel truck box to secure assets. The metallurgical build quality is outstanding. Forged from heavy-duty steel rather than cheap aluminum, it easily withstands the violent bouncing and heavy impacts of off-road site inspections. The dual gas struts are a brilliant ergonomic touch, smoothly lifting the heavy steel lid the moment I pop the latch. The black powder-coated finish resists rain and road salt perfectly. My only physical critique involves the front pull handle latch mechanism. Out of the box, the internal locking rod was slightly stiff & lacked lubrication. But I sprayed a quick blast of dry PTFE lithium grease into the keyhole and latch hinges to get the handle to open/close smoothly. This is a value-priced industrial-grade tool box and gets my 5 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Star Rating!
